One Fatal Dog Attack Every Six Days !

So far this year in a span of only 67 days there has been 11 dog attack fatalities. This averages out to 1 fatality every "6 DAYS". This is nothing short of a public safety emergency. 7 of these dog attack fatalities are children aged 13 years old and younger. 4 of the dog attack fatalities are adults aged 43 years old to 80 years old. 6 killed by Pit Bull type dogs / Pit Bull mixes, 3 killed by Bull Mastiffs / Mastiff Mix, 1 killed by Shepherd Mix and Lab Mix and 1 killed by Rottweiler. If you count the 40% fighting breed bull mastiff as a pit bull type that means 9 of the 11 fatalities were caused by pit bull type dogs. Which means so far this year pit bull type dogs are responsible for 81% of the dog attack fatalities yet they only account for about 7% of the dog population.........D-Man
