Shot Pit Bull To Ward Off Attack !
A Pendleton man shot and injured a pit bull dog to ward off an attack Wednesday night.
Ryan Patrick O’Malley, 25, was walking his own dog when the pit bull approached. He didn’t want to shoot, he said, but felt he was forced to.
“I feared for my life, and the life of my puppy,” he told the East Oregonian. “I am a dog lover, and it really sucks to have to do that. It’s not something I ever wanted to do, and it’s not something I ever want to do again.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Police said an elderly Anderson man's dog did not survive an attack by another dog after it was mauled while out walking on Sunday.
The dog belonged to 82-year old Jack Campbell. He says his dog, Buck, was a miniature pinscher mix that had been his loyal friend for 16 years.
"The first time I put a leash on him, he looked up at me and I said, 'Boy, you think me and you will ever be good buddies?' And he moved his head like, yes, and we've been good buddies all these years," said Campbell.
Campbell said he was walking Buck along Jeb Stuart Avenue about 11 a.m. when a pit bull ran from behind a house and charged them. Campbell said it was the same pit bull that had attacked Buck on an earlier walk about six weeks ago, he says Buck was also injured in that attack.
"I swung at (the pit bull) with my walking cane and missed, but then he seen Buck and shot right by me and grabbed Buck," said Campbell.

Attacked by three of their neighbor’s five pit bulls
PHUKET: A compensation complaint for a hospital bill totalling nearly 700,000 baht was filed with Wichit Police yesterday after a man was savaged in a vicious pit bull attack.
Benjarat Ekpaiboon’s 33-year-old son, Tiensak Ekpaiboon, was attacked by three of their neighbor’s five pit bulls around 8am on February 6.
“He’s been in hospital for almost three weeks now. Some of the wounds, like the ones to his face, chest and arm are better, but the deep wounds to his legs still need treatment, Mrs Benjarat told the Phuket Gazette today.
Mr Tiensak was still deciding whether he would prefer a skin graft to repair his leg wounds or if he would just leave them to heal naturally, Mrs Benjarat explained.
Her son was attacked by the pit bulls moments after they attempted to attack a woman in the area, Ms Benjarat said.
“Fortunately, the woman was able to use her purse and umbrella to fend them off. Though she did lose her purse,” Mrs Benjarat said. “She filed a complaint with the Wichit Police, too.”

The right to endanger the public ?
Pit Bulls are being shot and killed on a regular basis these days in order to protect law enforcement, the public or even livestock. What kind of pet have these people bred that leaves Our Children, loved ones and normal pets or livestock in such danger? We must have a weapon and plan to protect against these dangerous dogs just for normal day activities . Its not like We are on a african safari when Grandma walks to the mail box or Our children are just playing in the yard . Many of these Pit Bull advocates act as though they are entitled to a right that endangers the public. If You want to give these dangerous dogs the same rights as humans that can be Your personal choice get off the computer and move into the dog house !!

NEVER SHOWN ANY SIGNS OF AGGRESSION !
A pregnant Toledo woman was attacked by her "pit bull"-type dog this afternoon and sustained multiple bite wounds that required surgery.
She was taken by ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, said Lucas County Dog Warden Julie Lyle.
The condition of Maria Drake, 30, of Elm Street, Toledo, was not known late today as she was still in surgery on her right forearm, according to her husband, Jesse Drake, 24.
He said the 1 1/2 year old dog, who does not have a name, had never shown any signs of aggression and often played with their four children, ages 11, 7, 6 and 4. Mrs. Drake is 21 weeks pregnant with their fifth child. The fetus was not harmed during the attack, according to Mr. Drake.
He said that his wife told him that the dog attacked her when she went out in the yard where it was playing with their children. He said that his wife told him that the neighbor's children had been poking the dog with sticks through the fence and it was "riled up" and went after her. No one else was injured. . Lyle said the 71-pound dog was an unneutered red and white male. The dog warden tranquilized the dog before removing it from the yard, where it was hiding under a wood pile. Mr. Drake surrendered the dog to the pound, where it will be held for a 10-day quarantine period to see if it shows any signs of rabies and then it will be euthanized.
The dog bit Mrs. Drake on the left thumb, left inner thigh, left breast area and right forearm, Ms. Lyle said.

Put this scum in jail !!!
MONTROSE, Colo. — A dog that was scheduled court-ordered euthanasia after attacking its former owner is now missing after a Montrose man refused to turn the animal over to authorities.
This week, Jeremiah Aguilar, the owner of a 107-pound American Allaunt named Dutch, ignored Municipal Judge Richard Brown’s order to hand over the dog to Montrose Animal Control. As of Friday, Animal Control authorities said the dog had gone missing.
Brown issued the order after expressing his disappointment not only in the attack, but in an Internet smear campaign that followed. He says the several online reports inaccurately depicted the attack, blaming the victim for provoking the dog without any substantiated evidence.
