ELKHORN, Wis. —Family and friends are in shock the day after 14-month-old Daxton James Borchardt was attacked and killed by a couple of pit bulls.

A 14-month-old boy has died after being attacked by two pit bulls.

It happened at an apartment in Walworth early Wednesday afternoon at the home of a babysitter, who owned the dogs.
The babysitter was also attacked, according to Walworth County Sheriff's Department investigators.
Thursday afternoon, a neighbor told WISN 12 News the babysitter was home, and her injuries were mostly emotional, but she was about to see a doctor.
Meanwhile the child's father, Jeff Borchardt, is using his Facebook page to speak about what he calls the danger of pit bulls.
